The 2025 HCS Race Series scoring and guidance are as follows:

Wildcards require participation by at least 10 dues-paying members who have been HCS members for a minimum of 1 week prior to the event. If the race offers more than one distance, all members running or walking count toward the 10-person minimum. Folks choosing to volunteer at a Wildcard event instead of run or walk will be counted toward the 10-person minimum. To be considered a volunteer, you must be an official volunteer of the non-HCS event (cheering on runners does not count).

5 points for participation in each Race Series event [no limit]

5 points for running and 10 points for volunteering for each HCS-hosted event [no limit; if you volunteer and run, you will receive the 10 points for volunteering (not both to total 15)]

20 points for race directing an HCS event (in lieu of 10 volunteer points) [20 point limit]

10 points for recruiting a Running with the Wolves sponsor [10 point limit]

5 points for hosting an HCS run (SAD, brunch run, etc.) [10 point limit]

5 points for participating in an HCS camaraderie event, as they are added as Race Series events (no limit; points awarded for participation in any part of event – run, walk or after party)

3 points for participating in a Wildcard event [18 point limit]
To receive points for a Wildcard event, a point person will need to submit the list of eligible striders that participated and a link to the results to caitlynbintz@gmail.com by Nov 30th.

For upcoming wildcard opportunities with your strider pals, please visit the Facebook ‘Events’ page. Any other questions, please contact Caitlyn Ashton directly. We can’t wait to see everyone out there racing!
